Mr. Michael Price, master wood worker, designed and made a most beautiful Iona Cross for St. Mark’s Church. He and his wife, Ruth, good friends from the Napa Valley city of St. Helena presented their gift a few weeks ago. The cross hangs on the epistle side of our church near the altar rail and the last Station of the Cross.
The gorgeous walnut wood was chosen by Mr. Price and Fr. Prudhomme on a recent visit to the wood barn near Windsor.
The cross was inspired during the recent pilgrimage to the UK, following the footsteps of the Venerable Bede. The trip was lead by the Rev. Jeffrey Smith, Rector of St. Luke’s Church in Redding.
Mike and Ruth Price visited St. Mark’s recently, presenting the cross and meeting the congregation of saints in Larkspur.
We thank you Mike and Ruth for your gift and share pictures with other, inviting them to come join us for services.
