From our Church Secretary:

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

     It’s hard to believe we’re already going into April. But time flies, and here we are, right up to the day we’ve picked to clean up our church and ready it for Easter. This coming Saturday, bring a rag or two and anything else you think might help us to get our building in good shape. We’ll start at 10:00 a.m. and with many hands making light work, it won’t be long before we’ve got things clean and shiny.

     The very next day, Sunday, after our service, participate in our first quarterly meeting. We’ll be discussing the very important subject of finances, so you don’t want to miss it. Come and help us with your ideas and suggestions.

Tuesday’s Bible Studyis at 6:30 pm at Peet’s in the Hamilton Marketplace.  We continue our study in Genesis.

Thursday’s Quiet Day starts at 9:00 am with Morning Prayer, Mass at 11 am.

Next Sunday is Rose Sunday.  We will have sung Mass with incense to celebrate the midpoint in Lent, a day to rejoice.  Come join us for as many of the above as you can.

Tonight, Tuesday, we have Bible Study at Peet’s in South Novato at 6:30 pm.  We continue our study of Genesis.  Bring your favorite Bible and join us.

Thursday, Morning Prayer is at 10 am at the church.  Fr. Jim will be seeing Ruth following MP.

Sunday, The Third Sunday in Lent, Mass at 10 am.  Fr. Prudhomme will read the Second meditation of the Last Words of Christ by Fr. Andrew.

This Saturday, March 26th, weather permitting, we will continue on our Painting Project on the exterior of our church building.  Please let Fred Divine know if you can join us.  Stay tuned for more information.

Lenten Quiet day is on Thursday, March 31, with Morning Prayer at 9 am and Mass at 11 am.  We will spend some time thinking on the great sacrifice Christ made for us.  What are you going to do about it?

 Lenten clean-up day at the church will be on April 2, 2011, starting at 9 am.  We will polish the brass, dust the furniture, clean our sanctuary in advance of Holy Week and Easter, the highest Holy Day.  The Resurrection is what we are about!  Without it there would be no reason for Church or life for that matter!

Save the Date:  The Marin Oratorio will perform All Schubert, Mass in G, Lieder and part songs, including An Die Sonne, Standchen, Der Gondelfahrer, Nachthelle, Nachtgesang Im Walde, Der Erlkonig, and Ave Maria.  Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 3 pm.

Lent, a time of quiet, a time of inward looking, begins this coming Wednesday.  Ash Wednesday is when we remember our mortality, that we are dust  and into dust shall we return.  Come for the imposition of ashes and Mass at 10 am.

Tuseday Night Bible Study is at 6:30 pm at Peet’s Coffee in the Hamilton Marketplace, Novato.  We continue our study of Genesis, with Chapter 2.  Bring your favorite Bible for study.  A good cup of coffee or tea can be had.  Some new friends look forward to your visit.

Thursday Morning Prayer is at 10 am at the church.

Check out last Sunday’s sermon, Charity and Holy Matrimony.  Without Charity, we are dead to Christ.  Those with eyes and ears, let them see and hear.  The sermon is found on this site on the Sermon page, to the right.

A Little late this week.  We had 6 folks at Bible Study at Peet’s So.  Novato last night.  We started at the beginning with Genesis.  Creation is the best starting place.  God right in the center of things.  We spend the rest of our lives trying not to replace Him with our stuff!  It is not too late to join us.  We will look at the second Chapter, the second account of creation next week.  Bring your favorite Bible.  We meet at 6:30 pm Peet’s Hamilton Market Place.

Tomorrow, Thursday, we have Morning Prayer at the church at 10 am.

Sunday is Quinquagesima Sunday.  The last Sunday of Pre-Lent. 

Next Wednesday, March 9th, is Ash Wednesday.  Get ashes and Holy Communion at 10 am at the Church.  If you need help with a Lenten discipline, please let Father know, he will have an idea for you.
