The Workbench
Welcome to St Mark’s Church, a church of the Anglican Province of Christ the King. This is the place where Christian families in Marin County gather to celebrate the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ, when God entered the world to save us. Sunday Mass is at 10 am. Morning Prayer is Thursday at 10 am. We use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the 1940 Hymnal. The church is located at: 1129 Magnolia Avenue, Larkspur, CA 94939-1018. Phone: (415) 461-6960 To find us: from Hwy 101, take the Sir Francis Drake exit (West), turn left onto Bon Air Road, passed the Hospital, turn right on Magnolia and find 1129.
“We profess the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith professed by the whole Church before the disunion of East and West; more particularly, as professed by the Church of England…” Thomas Ken, Bishop of Bath and Wells, England (1637-1711)
Our heritage is from the journeys of St Joseph of Arimathea, who traveled to Cornwall during the time of the early church. Christianity was present in the area know now as England long before the Roman Church sent Augustine of Canterbury. St Columba established an abbey at Iona in the 600′s.
